The burial of Jesus is both the end of a horrible day and the prelude to the glory to come.  It is recorded to us as important evidence both of His death and resurrection.  Well-known and respected men could attest to His death, because the burried Him.  The same men could tell us that He had risen, for they could identify with clarity the tomb in which He was burried.
