- It is a dangerous fancy to assume that God is indifferent toward or smiles upon sin. Scripture tells us that He is grieved by sin - using such strong language that we almost wonder if God repents of His previous favor to mankind. Nevertheless, the depravity of man leads to the revelation of the absolute, sovereign grace of God.
