- The Training of Children

- God has given the Christian family instruction to follow on how to train their children.
- Ephesians 6:1-4
- In a day and age when there are so many books and so many different philosophies concerning the raising of children one might ask which philosophy should we follow as Christian parents? May I suggest that your best counsel should always be first God's Word. Our mandate comes from Ephesians 6:1-4 in which God commands all children to obey and honor the 5th Commandment. That is where your Children receive their blessing.
The problem is, that children do not naturally do the things in which we would always want them to do so we must realize that we as parents must take a very active role in bringing them up in the discipline and admonishment of the Lord. Father's especially must be involved with the training, knowing full well, that he is ultimately responsible to God for of that great task. Always remember to pray God's grace in it all!
